Butterfly kisses...

Continuing with our "New" theme this week,  I am demoing a new MME paper pad, new MFT Pure Innocence release and a new technique for me- colouring on kraft!

This new PI cutie is from MFT's latest release and is called Make A Wish. I decided to try a new technique for me that I've seen around alot in blogland recently- colouring on kraft. As this was my first go I took inspiration from Inge's tutorial on the MFT blog. I don't have Prismacolor pencils- only watercolour and lyra pencils but I think they worked just as well. As a colouring technique, I really enjoyed it- once you've worked out what colours you are going to use and what blends well together (a bit of scrap kraft is useful!), it really is quite easy as the kraft is quite forgiving.

I also used a new MME pad called Oxford Lane and the File Tab Dienamic and Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Dienamic- I'm going to seriously love this flower die!!

Such a cutie! I used to love telling the time with Dandelion clocks!!

Thanks for stopping by today x

Simple easy makes with Dreamees

Hello and welcome to another day of inspiration from our 'Something New' week. Today i am sharing with you a couple of quick cards i have made using one of the new Dreamees CD's ready for an upcoming demostration we have booked at the new shop.
For this card i used the Bloomin Brights CD. Everything on this card is from the cd all you need is some white card to print it all onto. All the elements are from the Lavender Themed section of the CD rom. I used Lavender Papers, Image, Hexagon Borders, Bows and Sentiments.
For this card again i used Bloomin Brights CD. I used the Image, Papers, Butterfly, Sentiments & Buttons, all that coordinate perfectly in a lovely coral tone.

Simply and easy to create!

Graph It Markers...

Morning All :)

For Something New Week, I decided to play with the new Graph It Markers in store. I've used the following sets: Skin Tones 12 Pack, Hair, Nature, Fresh, Sunny and Vitamin. The first thing I will say is this. If you look at the colour swatches and are expecting something subtle, don't. With the exception of the Skin shades, the colours I used, even the palest ones, are all vibrant and zingy.

So, what did I think of them? Well, they're not too bad. It'll take a while to get used to colouring with the different nib, (more Pro Marker than Copic) working out what colours blend well together and what Copics will go with what Graph Its, but they didn't upset me. They are a little more juicy than Copics, but once you know that, you can adjust. Would I ditch Copic in favour of Graph It? No. Would I continue to use the two together? Yes.

Otherwise, I've been busting to use the new Echo Park A Perfect Summer Papers. I think they're perfect for Summer Luka from La-La Land Crafts, don't you?

Something new...

Good Morning Everyone! Jane here today with a tag I have made for our 'Something New' themed week which is starting today on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. I cut the tag using a Dienamics die and Gorjuss Girl papers and added a fishtail cut from striped paper using another die. The beautiful house stamp is from the Art houses set from Creative Expressions and I stamped it on to kraft and added it to the tag over some jute mesh.

I used a Dienamics heart die to cut a small tag which I stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp before setting it with an eyelet and tying it on with some Docrafts string.

I then added some flowers a wooden butterfly, some key charms and buttons to finish off. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Bees with Cupcake

Happy Saturday Peeps.

This image is one of my all time favourite images from Wild Rose Studio, it's called Bees with Cupcake. So, it seemed like an easy choice to put it with some of my favourite My Minds Eye Papers... Collectable Unforgettable. I don't have so many of these papers left anymore! And it's lucky dies don't wear out as I am always using my Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax.

Talking of dies, did you see the new arrivals this week? They're pink, is all I'm saying! ;)
