Carnival Cupcakes

Morning everyone and happy Saturday.  It's Shelly here today to show you my latest card.  As you are reading this I will be up in sunny (well I hope it is sunny) Seahouses for the weekend before Megs heads back to school next week and we get back into a routine.

My card for today has been made using the cute Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes stamp set which is a really great mix and match set which is useful for so many different occasions.  I have used the bigger bunny on my card and the cupcake that I think looked the gooiest and yummiest!

My dotty background has been made using the Dienamics Polka Dot Cover Up die which I have mounted onto some pink cardstock.  I have then made my frame using the Dienamics Polaroid Cover Up die and attached a piece of acetate to the back so I could stick my sequins on.

I coloured my bunny and cupcake with Copics before fussy cutting them and mounting them onto my frame using foam pads.

I then cut a little fishtail flag out of stone coloured cardstock and mounted that over my frame.

The flowers are made using the Dienamics Circle Scribbles die and as I had no Quickie Glue left to stick them on I stuck a button on top with PVA to stick them down!

That's it from me for today...I hope you have a great weekend whatever you are up to.

Bailey has a Baby

Morning everyone it's Shelly's turn up on the blog today.  I am super excited today as we are off camping on Monday for a week in the Lake District.  Fingers crossed we get the weather !

For my card today I have used one of the Stamping Bella Uptown Girls stamps called Bailey Has a Baby.  Isn't she gorgeous and super stylish too after having a baby lol.

I spent a good hour colouring her in with my Copics and even attempted to do a proper floor for the first time.  I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

Did you know that My Mum's Craft Shop now stocks the gorgeous My Favourite Things paper pads?  The paper on my card is from the Plaid Patterns 6 x 6 pad and to tie in with the brown colouring in my image I have matted everything onto brown cardstock.

I kept the colour scheme quite generic so it would suit a baby boy or girl.

I've finished off with some buttons here and there and also a sentiment from Paper Smooches.

That's it from me for today, I am off now to finish my packing :-)

Have a great weekend everyone

A Little Something to Brighten your Day

Good morning everyone it's Shelly here today with some floral inspiration for you.

I've kept it quite simple this week with a nice bright colour scheme after such a damp and miserable week's weather!

The papers are from the Hello Sunshine paper pad by Doodlebug which is one of my favourites of theirs, the colours are just so bright and funky.

I've cut the scalloped rectangle from the Dienamics Blueprints 1 die set as well as the white panel which I have faux stitched and mounted onto green card before popping onto my card.

To get the faux stitching effect I have pricked around the edges of my panel with my pricky tool (sorry haven't a clue what the proper name is for it lol!) and drawn my stitching on with a pink fineliner.

I then stamped my flowers onto a variety of the patterned papers from the pad using the WPlus9 Blanket Stitched Blooms stamp set, cut them out and mounted onto my card using foam pads.

The sentiment is also from the stamp set and I have also mounted this using foam pads to make it pop.

Well that's all from me for today.  I hope you have a lovely Saturday whatever you are up to.
